SYNTHON Chemicals is a producer and distributor of fine chemicals and specialities. With 1600 square meters of laboratories, warehouses and offices SYNTHON supplies the industry with organic intermediates and final products in quantities from a few grams up to several hundred kilograms.
A highly skilled team of chemists and technicians is able to develop multi-step procedures from laboratory to pilot plant scale.
The following product groups belong to the core competency:

Dyes and fluorescent dyes for high-tech applications

Liquid crystals for electro-optical displays

Fine chemicals for research, development and small scale production units

SYNTHON keeps most of it’s products in stock to offer the customers the service of just in time delivery.
All products are analysed by modern analytical methods to meet highest quality standards.

History of SYNTHON

1994

The SYNTHON AcMaRi Chemie GmbH & Co. KG was founded at the historical place where Agfa developed the first modern colour film and where the ORWO Filmfabrik Wolfen produced fotografic materials until 1992. The aim was, to preserve the extensive knowledge of the researchers and technicians about dye development and production and to use their experience in the synthesis of heterocycles and organic intermediates

1996

SYNTHON starts it’s activities on the Japanese market by signing an exclusive sales contract with the company Nihon Siber Hegner (now DKSH).
The new product line „liquid crystals“ was established by using the experience of the researchers of Halle University. They belonged to the leading institutes on Liquid Crystal chemistry in the last decades of the 20^th century.

1997

The Company Echo Chemical Co. starts to sell SYNTHON’s products on the Taiwanese market.

2002

The company changes the name to SYNTHON Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG.
SYNTHON overtakes the company building and starts reconstruction of 1,600 square meters of laboratories, warehouses and offices.

2004

SYNTHON buys 10,000 square meters of land to secure the chance for further expansion.

2005

SYNTHON' s quality management system is certified by TÜV Rheinland Group according to
DIN EN ISO 9001 : 2000.

2006

Introduction of BLENDING as a new EPR system (Enterprise Resource Planning System)
